Lost items during attack.

I did not realise it at the time, but I remained logged on during the attack. There was no message to leave the area? I knew something was up as I could see sims disappearing around me.

As things were looking dodgy, I took my precious vehicle into my inventory. I thought it would be safer there. Although it disappeared inworld, it never arrived in my inventory.

I have left it a few hours, and have logged in again. The vehicle never turned up

Was taking it into my inventory the worst idea ever? Will it ever turn up? Is there anything I can do?

Presumably this was a noncopiable vehicle...

What you could do is the following:

1) Go to PREFERENCES ---> NETWORK tab and push CLEAR CACHE, then relog. Sometimes, things are not actually missing; simply not showing up because the local display of your inventory is out of sync with what's on our servers.

2) Contact the creator and let them know what happened. Perhaps they can help you acquire a new one at no extra cost. It's always worth an ask.

3) Send a bug report from HELP menu with all the details of what you lost. It may help to know what region you were in when you tried to take it, the name of the vehicle, and anything else you remember about the situation.
