First of all thank you Pathfinder for answering some of the backlogged questions!

Second my first question is not answered in the blog...

This page lists a $$ amount for stipend sinks...how are stipends ever considered sinks?

Third, as I stated in that post I did not feel the blog gave sufficient explanation as to the justification for selling lindens when you are reducing stipends. If the stipends are de-stabilizing the economy so much you need to lower them then how can you afford to sell them?

Third, I have not yet seen in any blog post how LL justifies taking money out of the pockets of their residents selling "new" lindens when so many residents are trying to sell their "in circulation" lindens.

I read something about how selling lindens is going to keep the value from going up to high or too low or something but I still think there is a balance issue between sources and sinks and selling even more lindens is only adding to the problem...

If the intention is to force all residents to buy thier lindens or earn them in-world then just say that that is the direction you are eventually moving. I just want to know the truth so I can make a decision about whether or not I can keep supporting LL. I'm seriously considering downgrading my account because of philosophocal disagreements with recent actions taken by LL. I'm not saying you're wrong I'm just saying I disagree and dont' want to support what I disagree with. You don't have to change your philosophy or policies, I just want to know what they are.

Due to a quirk of how the registration process works, a small amount of new user stipends wind up being destroyed in some cases, hence acting as a sink. At some point that process will likely be streamlined and we'll have zero stipend sinks.

I'm not going to touch on your other concerns because I have spoken about them repeatedly in the forums and town halls and I just don't think I can explain it any better than I already have. Please search my posts in the Land & Economy forum and/or look at the townhall chat logs for what I've said about those concerns in the past.

Cheers,
Lawrence
