Are different Lindens responsible for answering different types of questions/comments in SL Answers?

The reason I ask, is it seems pretty inconsistant.

Yesterday I posted two different threads. Today I logged in, and saw that Kelly responded to one and ignored the other. I do appreciate Kelly's response to the one. It was well written and informative.

I see that Kelly also responded to 6 other posts, some of which were entered after my two. I'm making the assumption that Kelly read both of my posts. I'm trying to understand why Kelly did not respond to the other.

Mily Sartre posted this: /139/d3/138053/1.html and Kelly did not respond to it either.

The sticky for this forum starts with the following:
Do you have an opinion or comment about Second Life which you think will benefit the whole community? Looking for feedback from a Linden? We're listening!

I'm looking for feedback. My other (extremey lengthy) thread /139/b5/137907/1.html was about communication. A simple response like "Gosh, you wrote a novel. It's going to take us some time to 1st read, 2nd digest and 3rd figure out a response to this. Please be patient, we will get back to you."

That's all I needed. If the responsibility is split up among the Lindens for who responds to what post, no problem, I look forward to a response. If they are not divided up, then Kelly really should have responded in some manner. My post was about communication and not communicating with me only highlights the issues I discussed in my first post.

Mily is looking for feedback. A lot more than I am.

If things are divided up, Kelly should have at the least responded "Wow. Sounds like a mess. I'm so sorry you are having these issues. Unfortunately, I am not the person who handles issues like this. That person is (fill in the blank) and he/she has the day off. I will personally make sure he/she is made aware of this issue. Please be patient, we will solve this."

If things are not divided up . . . well, I'm not going there.

So now I'm circling back around to my question.

Are different Lindens responsible for answering different types of questions/comments in SL Answers?

Hey Perrin.

The secret is I'm actually one of the developers / programmers for Second Life. I have worked on many features both client side and server side. However, answering hotline posts is not technically part of my job. I do it because I like to and because I think it does help with the rest of my job. I do it on a Saturday morning because I'm partially insane I think.

What I do is I read through the posts and I completely skip the ones I know nothing about. I don't know about customer service policies or practices for example. I don't put even a short answer because I don't want any other linden to skip over it as 'answered'. I tend to focus on the technical issues, specifically the technical issues that I know something specific about. I don't think it is very helpful for me to guess at answers, and Torley is better at 'directing the circus' and connecting questions to people who know the answers than I am, so I leave that to Torley.

So, it isn't as good as answering every post, but I think it helps some and may make Torley's job a little easier too.
