The maximum size prim that you can build is 10m. Land is measured and marked out in 4m increments.

This creates situations where you have no choice but to add an extra prim to make things fit. For example, you have a road front property that is a little jagged, there is a 24m section you'd like to put sidewalk on, you can put (2) 10m pieces, then you have to put a 4m piece in.

If it is possible to change the building tools to allow 12m as the largest unit, that would help reduce prims needed to build things.

Of course 24m would be better :), but seriously, as long as the maximum prim size is equally divided by 4, that would help reduce prims.

Perrin! I like how you thought this one through. It's also dependent on your building style, too, for there are many ways to make a road out of varying configurations of prims. Some elements like adding bevelled curves, for example, would use even more prims.

Consider also, tho, how some people find it easier to do their math in multiples of 10.

We don't currently have plans to extend the maximum prim size normally allowable, but you may wish to talk to Eddy Stryker, Adam Zaius, and those associated with the libsecondlife team for some of their "magical" megaprim experiments. :)
