Argent Stonecutter: Previously the world map only mapped objects 400 meters and below, so you could put skyboxes over 400 meters without having them show up. I liked that because it let me avoid marring the large scale terraforming of my builds with buildings, and some people probably would prefer their skyboxes weren't revealed to any yahoo teleporting on the Map.

Now it's showing everything to 768 meters.

Is this change permanent? I sure hope it's just an oversight.

I'm already seeing this causing problems with sky objects obscuring the ground:

In this pic, the pac-man object is too high in the air to see or even fly to from the ground, yet it gets rendered on the map, obscuring the ground and probably confusing the heck outta newbs.

I don't think the map tiles are done in showable/hideable altitude layers--while I've heard your suggestion before (and it'd be cool to peel off the top stuff, or even have a World Map that shows what's at a given range like 400-500 m), I'm not sure if it's technically possible right now.

I'll forward this to Yedwab Linden as well for his expertise. :)

[UPDATE] Yedwab Linden has fixed it so World Map updates will only show objects below a Z-coordinate of 400 m. Expect to see the changes soon.
