Something needs to be done about over-zealous new Linden scouts...

Allright, this is no big deal or anything, but it BURNS me, because I KNOW it happens a LOT to a LOT of innocent people, and in much worser situations.

You guys (Lindens) are great and all, but you really, REALLY need to do something about your over-zealous newbie Lindens who are "trigger happy" at the chance to "resolve an issue" and boot someone.

For instance;

I was in Sandbox Goguen, a place I frequent all the time. I have friends in Goguen who also frequent it. Goguen is a place I go, everybody knows it, and happens EVERY DAY. Now it just so happens that I wear weapons for COSMETIC PURPOUSES. May they be scripted, I hardly ever use them. And most certainly not in sandboxes. This is also a commonly-known fact about me.

So I'm in Sandbox Goguen, minding my own buisiness. There are a few greifers around as usual, so they call in a Linden. But OF COURSE the guy lays one eye on me and IMMEDIATELY accuses me of being the one to blame. OF COURSE, because I happen to look threatening and wear two guns..

So when he points the finger and asks me to remove my weapons, I try to explain to him very calmly that they are cosmetic and a MAJOR part of my outfit. But yea, surely enough, instead of just CHECKING his simple little spiffy event logger that I KNOW you guys have to varify that the attacks were not, in fact, comming from me, he just LOGS me.

GOOD Lord. There is NOTHING more frustrating than to be smack in the middle of working on something and have a novice Linden scout come and randomly boot you.

Now this has been a minor inconvinience, because I'm only banned (and this shows you how HORRIBLE a person I must be to have been banned inworld)...FOR AN HOUR! What the hell kind of a statement is that anyway!? Is that how you NORMALLY treat the greifers we report..? It's an HOUR LONG BAN..

But anyway, like I said, this is just a minor inconvinience, but it is, no mistake, VERY frustrating. And I know sure as hell that this happens to a LOT of people in MUCH more dire situations. I'm sure, probably 75% of the people on the grid(s) share my frustration. Having Lindens around to protect the sanity of the genuinne population is all very well and good; In fact I'm VERY thankfull for it. But for the sake of us all..

PLEASE DON'T JUST GIVE SOMEONE A BADGE AND SEND THEM OUT INTO THE POLICE FORCE...please for the sake of us ALL, leave the banning and all other major things like that to the EXPIRIENCED Lindens..
