I work for a popular club that has events practically 24/7, at least 10 events/day. These are real events, with hosts, live DJs, prizes and lots of guests attending. This is legitimate content, not yard sales or casinos.
Today I tried posting one of my regular events and got the following message:
Please correct the following errors:
There are 5 events on this parcel within the last 24 hours already. Please select another parcel or time.
When did this limitation come about? The "I agree" blurb still says that the limitation is 5 events per avatar (including alts, yeah, sure!). Nowhere does it say that the limit has changed to 5 events per parcel?
Is this a decent way to treat legitimate event organizers? How does this new policy act as an incentive to keep on providing regular events in SL?
Don't you think that residents might have some more pressing issues that need attending to these days than limiting the number of events that can be posted?
