2 Minute Warnings ...

These 2 minute warnings needs to be addressed. There are *many* things that can be going on and we are NOT able to finish up in that alloted time. I do understand that the grid needs to be taken down. However, some more thought needs to be put into the "take down" process.

We were at the 1 hour mark of a very indepth class during the 2 minute warning. I was not able to notecard the class notes which are *very* important to those who attended the class as reference as well as to be given to those who missed the class. Now, the entire hour of class is not able to be referenced and will create a need for a repeat class.

This may seem to be a very miniscule problem to you; however, to those it affects is a very big thing.

I use the class we were in as reference, but i'm certainly sure that others can chime in and give their own example of exactly how this 2 Min warning isn't well received and more time is needed to those who are in world at the time it's given.

God i'm so mad right now i keep deleting what i *really* want to say. Let me just end by saying put more thought into those who you are affecting and perhaps there's a slim chance that people will start being a bit more friendly and open to those who are in the 'power' positions that control the game.

2 minutes is really a mad scramble--we've got an open issue which is important to us, to lengthen the warning time, and give incrementally shorter warnings as time ticks down. So for example, 5 min., 2 min., 1 min. Sometimes in very rare occasions (e.g., exploits), a quick shutdown of the grid is necessary but as we are getting better at planning ahead, it definitely would be a LOT more comfortable to lengthen the lead-ahead window.
