New SL client is actually an older client?

I noticed 2 things about the new SL client today. The original loading texture is back (the alpha one) this is good though i like it better then the grey grid. But i also noticed when you check properties of a inventory object they no longer go into 1 tabbable preference window. they now go into individual windows. i was wondering if this was Linden Labs intention to revert these things to a older code or if it was done by accident?
