Are Avatars getting rolledback?

Hey Torley,

Got a tough one for ya :)

Dee Linden told me in the Live Help that Avatars will get rolled back when a simulator gets rolled back.

If a simulator is rolled back, could I lose scripts or objects that I have been recently working on and have 'saved' to my inventory?

Cheers,

Iron.

It is possible for attachments, including their contents (scripts etc), to get rolled back.

Your inventory however is NOT part of your 'avatar'. Your inventory will not get rolled back if a sim crashes. Your Avatar is just your visual representation in the world and your inventory is seperate.

That said, if you are in the middle of a transaction (buying something, taking something to inventory) when a sim crashes it is conceivable for the transaction to not complete. We try hard to make sure this doesn't happen, so if it does please file a bug report from the Help menu.
