Hi!

Good job on all the progress, but the last update introduced a major peeve for a number of users - the new handling of tapping the ALT key.

Are there any plans to make such features optional instead of mandatory to use for all users? There are quite a few among us who have typing habits that the new system wrongfully seems to interpret as "tapping". Also note that the ALT key is used for lots of common characters (especially for scripters), for instance on German keyboards:

|~\}][{²³@€ <--- all these require the ALT Key. So if you decide you need another linebreak instead of a closing brace in LSL, what happens? You press ALT, think for a fraction of a second, release it, to then hit Enter, and finally ALT-0 for the closing brace... chances are that at least one of these keystrokes is lost to the Menu Focus feature. In my humble opinion, text entry (for chat and scripts) should not be so easy to throw off balance.

So, are there any plans to get this into the FLOSS/GPL code base (so it can be promptly taken out, hehe) or are there plans to make it an option, along with a lot of the other "proprietary" keyboard functionality quite a few users would like to see changed? If so, could you give an ETA on this?
