What they posted is almost no better then thier original stance. They still aren't doing anything to actively remove copybot or ban the people who bought it. Your supposed to report someone you think is copying your stuff? How is someone supposed to know that? Do you expect someone copying thier items to tell them? All someone has to do still is copy the object with an alt and make it a freebie and its a worthless object.

Its a nice start but the reality is this isn't going to improve the situation.

Linden Labs, i hope you realize how much is riding on this. From a consumer point of view and from someone who does not sell a darn thing in game I'll be the first to say there will be little interest in Second Life if the big content creators in the game go out of business over this.

You may want big corporations to use this as a platform to market thier goods, but who are they going to market it to? The content creators are the ones that draw and keep people in this game, they are the ones providing you not only with money with thier islands they pay for or the tiers they pay, but they provide the player base to draw in and keep those companies you want to be here as well.

For your own sake and ours, persue this aggresively please.

Hi Raven,

As you've likely heard before, there simply is no 100% solution to copyright infringement, but we are working to mitigate the problem as effectively as possible, where possible. Please join in the blog discussion with your comments and suggestions.
