After asking six Lindens if non-risque (no nudity, vulgarity, etc.) ads in a PG sim advertising for a mature service was a TOS violation, I ended up with a bunch of mixed answers. Two said it's fine, other four agreed it was against the TOS. Looking for clarification on this issue.

The specific ads themselves might have to be looked at--it could unwise to make a decision generalizing otherwise, Kaboom. Simply: Ads for a mature service can be in a PG sim as long as the content of the ads themselves are PG.
For example, a minimalist black-and-white sign with the words: Booshka's Brothel
and no pictures would be fine. Related: the finder's listings are PG. This includes the Classifieds tab. You'll notice there are ads for mature services in there, which, again, are PG in terms of content. If you're concerned about a specific case, from HELP menu, choose REPORT ABUSE to have it scoped out. |
