I have been in second life a while and one of the things that is going to eventually force me to leave is not the lag and bad performance by itself. It is the complete lack of support. I own an island and I promise the support is no better than when i was a newbie player. In fact I would say it has gotten worse over time.

The past 3 times I have needed help there has been absolutely no help on the live chat, from anybody. The concierge email address takes days if it is ever answered at all. Today's incident is where my sim dropped to almost 0 on all stats with no physics collisions. Once again I called on help to no avail. The sim eventually came back to normal but not before tanking out every resident and customer 2 times.

I know that there is the new initiative to make customer support better but the question is why is it so bad right now. Why, if they know there is a problem, has so little been done in the interim.

I am saddened and frustrated by the complete lack of support. I think many of these changes and problems would be much easier to handle if there was more support and interaction when it is needed. I love secondlife but I am very disappointed in the lag, the bugs and the support.

First, I apologize that it's been difficult to recieve help in Live Help lately. The Live Help program, as it was created, was not designed to handle the sheer level of questions we are currently receiving.

If you haven't already, I encourage you to read Robin's recent blog post on this very topic. Changes and scaling are coming, but we are first gathering information from the community as to what types of support you are all looking for. Robin Linden has requested anyone interested in participating in these meetings contact her directly.
