Group Scam Alert

This isn't really a question, unless my question is: What will SL do about these scams?

When I logged on this morning, I found an invitation to join a group called "Psychologists - I Own You - RRC..." from someone named [edited]. I have never met or heard of this av before. He charges $2500L to join his group.

I reported him for abuse.

While I was reporting him, I got the sickening feeling that he is only the first of many more scam artists to come.

Apple, this sounds also like another word which just happens to rhyme with "scam", and that word is "spam". Which is, yes, against our Community Standards and not allowed in Second Life.

You've done the right thing in sending an abuse report. Please also note "naming names" isn't allowed on the SL Forums as per the Guidelines. Glad you already sent an AR, and hopefully you provided all the specifics in there; it will be dealt with accordingly. Possibled disciplinary action from a warning, to a suspension, to a ban if the behavior doesn't cease.
