how do i make avs?

I am a artist, in sl i am a furry, i been trying for weaks now to get a costume av made with no luck,
after talking to a lot of people, it seems there is not enf furry av artist, so i deside to start makeing furry avs.
i look all over the wed could not find anything.
I need a how to page for make avs and i need to know what program or used in makeing avs.

I was actually looking around inworld for furry avatar-making kits, in hopes of guiding you to them! And I could not find any yet. Altho it sounds familiar... as you may already know, furries--look at things like paws and heads--are made with "prims", a combo of the basic building blocks in Second Life. Line up several spheres and tori (plural for "torus", arrange 'em, and texture them a bit and you've got the workings of a good head there.

There are some free furry avs which are modifiable. While I would advise you not copy anyone else's designs without permission, you can unlink them to get a better idea of how they're constructed. And do your own thing from there.

If I find anything I'll send to ya... in the meantime, anyone else reading this have recommendations? Please send to zaire and let me know too... =)
