How much VRAM do Linden Labs programmers have in their machines?

I'd like to know how much VRAM the LL developers have on THEIR machines.

Some of us are noticing that SL is very unstable if you do not have loads of VRAM in your video card, particularly if you move or are exposed to user-uploaded custom textures. I do not think we are going to see any fixes to this problem until the developers have to live with it too. I'm not interested in the VRAM in the low-end test machines LL has (if any). Instead, I want to know what the developers are actually using in the machines where they spend the bulk of their time.

See /164/68/99995/1.html for some detailed observations about how variable stability of SL is, and how closely related it is to VRAM.

Pixeleen, I'm asking one of our graphics gurus further about this...

I can give you an "enduser Linden" perspective too if you want it, just let me know (torley@lindenlab.com). ;)
