Has SL management considered setting up a copy of SL on a test server to test versions, patches and grid set ups before going live with them? Do you have volunteer bug testers that can go into the test server and litterally play and find bugs at the same time to help you guy's find all the bugs before posting updates/patches/grid layouts. I think that would reduce all the update mahem that happens after an upgrade?

Thoughts and ideas welcome.

Such a good idea--such a good idea, infact, this is exactly what has been done!
before this version of Second Life 1.9 came out, a Preview Grid was opened for testing. The database "snapshot" was taken on Feb. 1, so unfortunately our newest Residents couldn't make it in, but after you've been in SL for awhile, you may be accustomed to this fine tradition. There will be more Previews in the future. Browse around the SL Forums too for further info at your leisure.

We do indeed have some superb volunteer bug testers! You may want to talk to Nathan Stewart about his many experiences, for example. :)

Thank you for your Q, Amaya.
