I'm afraid that this is simply not true. Currently all regions in SL are powered by class 4 and class 5 servers between which there is a negligible performace difference. The number you reference is unrelated to performance as the new server your sim moves to could be the same class you were on previously.


When were the last of the Class 3's phased out?

I'm going to need to defer to Brent on this one! I was under the impression that we had already phased them out...WRONG! Sorry for the misinfo! :(

We still have some Class 3 hardware kicking around, however the lower number sims (292, for example) no longer are the "old" hardware. We've been recycling sim numbers. 292 is in fact, a Class 4 machine, as is 1050. The reason that you are experiencing performance issues may be related to the number of scripts running in the region, but it's definitely not the hardware.
