In kinda of reply and a question at the same time to Petgirl's earlier post on the same subject.

I've found that the "Everyone" role is overriding your intentions on being able to post and receive notices.

For example, I have "Owners", "Vendors", "Event Hosts", and Everyone roles in my group. If I turn off Post notices in "Everyone" cause I don't want vendors to post notices, even I the owner cannot post a notice. This seems counter intuitive.

Question: Should settings on "Everyone" override "Owner" or "Event Hosts" settings? Is this intentional or a bug?

Thanks for your reply,

Ham

Group Roles, and the Abilities within them, are additive. All Roles assigned to a Member will have the cumulative sum of those Abilities.

Which means, Everyone includes Owners. So if you want just the Owner(s) to be able to send Notices, go to the specific Owners Role, and turn on that Ability. :)

[UPDATE]
Sorry, I forgot that Owners can't have their Abilities disabled. Thanks for your email, Ham.

Hope this helps, Ham!
