The number of griefers on the grid lately has been annoying. Not to mention, all the attacks against the grid and the sheer number of trolls and other undesireable types wandering around since the celphone requirement was lifted.

Why can't this be put back into place? By requiring a text message, you:

- Tied a person's identity to something they generally can't get more of easily, if they get kicked off,

- Kept deadbeats out of the system (Any person who isn't a deadbeat either has a phone or knows someone who has one and isn't interested in SL)

- Made the threat of losing your account real, because you can't just get another one.

Let's bring back this system. SL was a better place before this requirement was lifted. It's an easy way to keep out the "riffraff".

For those who don't have celphones, provide a way to authorize by postal mail, or just require a credit card to register.
