I'm curious as to why some blog entries are closed for comments.
What are the criteria for choosing what we are allowed to respond to?

Lewis, in following up on your question, I've discovered that a few posts with no comments were accidental. Others were set to no comments because they weren't up for discussion. They're simply statements, not dialogues. The choice to open or close is up to the discretion of the individual posting.
