Hi from Down Under, First off let me say how great SL is but ( yes there is always a but) I have a problem with all the updates. I am sure many others in Australia would also be having issues. With most of the service provides they have "unlimited downloads" but really they are limited after a set amount. Since being on SL twice i have been capped by my IP and it makes being in SL almost impossable (like being in here on dial up tool taking 40 mins for a club to rez)
Is there a way to maybe limit the upgrades per month please ?
Thank You

Heya esclava, I have friends in the land down under in a similar situation to you. Sadly, by necessity (all those textures that must be downloaded, for example), Second Life requires broadband--and the more ample the "pipe", the better. Limiting updates unfortunately isn't realistic either--you may have seen the numerous times where Residents want bugs fixed *fast*. However, I do know something you can do: in PREFERENCES > NETWORK tab, set MAXIMUM BANDWIDTH to a low number near the left, like 200. That'll make things download slower in SL, but effectively throttle your bandwidth so less is downloaded at a time.
