not sure how else to communicate this with LL and the general SL community so I am putting it here.

I am very sad that you are closing the forums. I honestly feel with all sincerity that you are taking away a very integral part of SL by closing the forums many many many residents have relied on the forums for as many reasons.

I for one don't post as much as many do but i do read the forums llot and I will miss them so much.... you don't know.
and yes i know you have said 3ed party sights have forums but all that will do is splinter the community in to many many forums.
its bad enough many people don't know there are SL forums how are they going to find out about 3ed party forums for information.

you say the forums are taking away form other resources did you even think that many of your paying customers like my self considered the forums as being part of second life being a part of the total experience of what Second Life is.

crucial, THANK YOU for taking the time to express this to us. As you know, we're not blinking off the forums in one fell swoop--it's a gradual transition, one which we'll be informing the community of each phase along the way.

Of course you also know that valuable knowledge like Content Creator forums will still be kept open-ended.

More methods to communicate, including those within Second Life itself--the inworld experience--will emerge. I know it's not the same, nor will it ever will be, but that's what change is about.
