This may be a dumb question but please bear with me and help me understand:
I own a chunk of land and wish to limit the ability to create objects to myself and my partner. To do this I formed a group, the land is not deeded to the group, setting all the permissions accordingly. When my partner tries to creat content, houses, she is told that it is blocked by the group.
In addition, after creation of the group I changed her title to joint-owner. Whilst this shows up on the group menu it does not appear in her personal 'group' settings.


In summary
She has the group title as her active title when trying to create content.
Permissions are set in the group menu for all members to be able to do everything listed in the check-boxes to the right
The land is not deeded to the group


Any clue as to what i am doing wrong?

The group permissions only apply to land deeded to the group.

What you want instead, if you do not wish to deed the land is:
- Make sure you at least set the group on the land
- On About Land -> Options uncheck all three boxes by 'All Residents' and check all three boxes by 'Group'.
