Blog Shortcomings

Ok, I've unwillingly been watching the blogs because you have stopped using the Announcements forum for updates. I've noticed a few shortcomings in the blog that are available on the forums and am wondering if these are possible on the blog.

1. inability to edit ones post. I've had to double post a couple times because I can't edit an add a thought into my previous post

2. Inability to quote another poster. The forums have a quote button so you can make it more obvious that you are responding to another person's post rather than copy/paste and "" marks along with the @ so and so.

3. the endless first page of responses. Forums separate posts into pages which is nice when you are looking for a specific post. In topics that get pretty lengthy with the responses it would be nice to be able to remember that the post you wanted to re-read or respond too is on page such and such and just click to it rather than scroll and scroll and scroll...etc. In the same way it's nice to know what page you left of reading on when you leave and want to continue from there when you come back and there are another hundred or so responses...again, scrolling nightmare.

4. Inability to read the blog topics only without using a 3rd party site. This, again, leads to a scrolling nightmare just to find the topic you wanted to read if it is an old topic.

How is the blog better than just turning on comments in the Announcements forum?? These are tools that WE use to communicate with you and eachother, something you say that the blog is supposed to do better than the forums, yet these tools are not available on the blog.

Just wondering where LL stands on these missing features?

Thanks for your suggestions. We're still in the process of adding more features to our Wordpress blog to improve its functionality, and we'll explore these ideas as well as many others.
