Hi. I've posted this twice now here and here and I am sorry to keep reposting, but there's no way that I know of to "bump" old posts, so I apologize in advance for spamming, but I really REALLY (no, I really mean it!) would like an answer to this:

I recently saw this item in the changelog:

* Texture asset IDs no longer sent to the viewer unless necessary

Under what specific circumstances does this now happen? I have a project that I am working on which uses a "trick" to force pre-caching of particle textures, and would like to know if I now have to change how I do it.

More generally, could someone please answer under what circumstances is the viewer not directed to download/render a texture on a prim?
