Everytime I have logged into the Virtural World, I have been asked to install 1.10.1 over and over again. Not sure what is causing this.

I've had this happen before for various reasons.
Is this on windows? If so....
Try uninstalling ALL versions (all preivews and the release) first, deleting any shortcuts that are left after the uninstall then reinstalling from the downloads section of the website.
If that doesn't work, let us know.
Is this on a mac? If so....
Are you running Second Life directly from the image? If you are, try dragging the Second Life app (not the image) into your Applications folder and running it from there.
