Heya Tengu!

We're hot on the trail of those inventory bugs. Please have a look at my recent reply to Jessy on the same sorta things.

Also! It sounds like the situation you're in may be the "Show all folders" confusion one.

Please go to your inventory... FILTERS menu > MODIFY CURRENT and then uncheck the "SHOW ALL FOLDERS" checkbox. See if that helps your searches--it will only show *relevant* folders which match your actual search query.

The "all folders opening" one is also known about, as I've wirtten about. Hopefully you won't be drowning for long!

Torley,

No, the situation is _not_ the 'Show All Folders' one, at all.

I cordially invite you to try this for yourself:

1) Uncheck 'Show All Folders' as you suggest.
2) In the 'Search' field of your inventory, enter 'Body Parts' (since you're guaranteed to have this in at least one place in your inventory).
3) Now, click on the 'Body Parts' folder that is found in the 'Library' folder. How do you open that folder? _You_Can't_.

So, I repeat... is there something I'm missing?

Thanks!

Heyagain Tengu!

Great, a fellow user of "cordially" on here. :)

Alright, thanx for the details--I get what you're saying. What's missing here is--the folder can't be opened (no white triangle for expansion next to it) because the Body Parts folder doesn't contain any matching search queries also containing "body parts" in the name. For example, if you search for "hair", it shows the "Hair - Men's" folder nested within Body Parts.

This connects us to: there used to be an expected mode of usage in previous versions of SL where someone would click on a folder in the manner which you describe, then clear the search query. Then, focus on that folder would remain, and they could open it to see what's inside. The current fact it doesn't do that (e.g., loses focus) is also a bug, and it's also known for us to fix.

Thus, hopefully this will become easier for you to do soon. :)
