Screwed up Linden Priorities?

Please explain why I have to jump through a million Wordpress hoops (Man, after trying to make an account there, I really HATE those*##^$# at wordpress...their artificial 'boost the number of blogs we have at any costs' policy caused me to give up in frustration).

THEN I watch a friend make an alt account on SL... *blink* *blink* uhm, that's it? Its that frigging easy to make an alt? *boggles*

You pick the blog host from hell as far as registration to post on YOUR blog, yet let any knuckledragger off the street insta-create an unverified account to grief? Somehow I think you lindens have your priorities screwed on backwards...they seem to be 'prevent any non-happy feedback at all costs while inflating account numbers' to this player. Please explain the logic to this situation?


Also, while you are at it, since the game has been locked to linden only for hours today, WHY are you so madly trying to stuff unverifieds into the game (boosting your numbers like Wordpress boosts theirs by forcing us to get a blog?) at the cost of your PAYING PREMIUM ACCOUNTS being able to log in? I've met a LOT of nice unverifieds ingame...but frankly, LL, if forced to choose between them ingame or being able to log in myself, since I am PAYING for the game I'll take logging in any day. Please explain why with the rise in griefing since unverifieds were allowed, you have done nothing to prevent the attacks via verification?

I agree, that is frustrating. Many Residents reported having problems registering to comment on our blog. It ended up causing more difficulties than benefits, so required registrations for commenting are again turned off. Hopefully in the future we will be able to implement a blog which automatically recognizes Second Life accounts.
