Linden Labs, I've never been more proud of you. And i never expected this to happen. I think what you've done will be heralded as the online Internet world revolution. By doing this you've opened the doors to all your faithful residents and made it possible to do so many things

I'm wondering what we can look forward to?

Outside Im'ing
Object augmentations
Maybe resident run regions to take extra load off the grid

That's just all i can think of right now, but I'm sure there is much more! I'd like to know what all of you down at Linden Labs are getting at here, and do you think it will lead the way for even more of a resident created world?

Hi, Davey. Thanks for the positive words about the recent open sourcing of the SL viewer. I'll point you to Phoenix Linden's initial blog post Embracing the Inevitable for some Linden Lab thinking on the subject, and if you haven't read it, you should definitely check out Cory 's Pre-Town Hall Answers and the complete town hall transcript from 1.9.07.
