Leverage the userbase!

Why were the residents not warned of this attack?

We got a message that we "Shouldn't message live help, we are working on it".

Of course, there was no indication of what "it" was. So I was standing around for 5 minutes when I could have been locking down my parcels, making them no-create, no-script, watching the object list returning the attack objets.

This attack could have been partially mitigated had the userbase been mobilized from the start, instead of being left wondering what all the fuss was about.

While I wasn't inworld on Main Grid to see this myself--there should have been gridwide inworld announcements, as there's been in the past. Blue dialog boxes that come up in the upper-right-hand corner. There's a history to this!

Also, we like to get Announcements up ASAP. Announcements also appear on the Community page.

Apologies if you didn't get a fuller description of what "it" was, Gigs and in the future, please feel free to check the announces. And I have been thinking of better ways to get the word out too. It's good when Residents inform each other, but there's gotta be a louder, clearer siren.
