Dear Lindens

When you opened up the floodgates you obviously forgot one very important thing... server loads! And it's most visible in case of texture loading now.
Ever since the floodgates were opened I started experiencing longer and longer "grey goo" effect... and now... ehh, I lack words. I didn't experience that earlier and if I did it wasn't THAT bad.

If you want to see some effects, here are few examples:
Screenshot taken 10 minutes after logging in
Screenshot taken 20 minutes after logging in
Screenshot taken almost 30 minutes after logging in!
Both screens were taken at my home - a place I spend a lot of time at so it's not a brand new area I'm visiting!

Please, for all that is sacred - do something about this! In a few weeks we will simply stop using textures because everything will be grey goo anyway!

strange login problem

trying to login and getting:

Login Failed.
The system is logging you out right now.
Your Account will not be available until 2006-07-10 17:43:31 Pacific Time.

Right before this happened someone was messing with malscripts in the Island Sandbox FWIW.

PS: i also seem to be unable to teleport home (or anywhere else)

Re: texture rezzing issues, we're watching this closely. I am continuing to document what's going on as we gather further info. Yes, things totally sucked at points yesterday--it was enough of a concern to me to log out and stay logged out for awhile. Some of you may have seen my Flickr photos too of blurry trees:
