Howdy, I bothered Guy Linden about this one but as he has no control over the actual website listing of auctions I hoped to get an "Answer" here. Over a week ago Guy added a parcel (Baekje 001 (168,240) 2560 m2) into the action queue. It has an Action ID of 26198986. Over the week I have waited patiently for the parcel to come up and nothing. So I started to check similar parcels up for auction and it seems like this one has been skipped as there are higher numbered Auction IDs up even now: http://secondlife.com/auctions/detail.php?id=0026198994thru http://secondlife.com/auctions/detail.php?id=0026199002 However there are also lower Auction IDs intermixed. Why aren't auctions done in the order of their IDs? There is an entire sim marked for auction next to Baekje that while I had no honest interest in it was curious to see what happened, but many regions with higher Auction IDs have come and gone... So as I wait patienty... what is order parcels and regions enter the queue, and why given a numbering system do they not enter in that order?

How are Parcel Auctions staged...: II

Whilst you are researching Clubside's question, perhaps you can suggest a way for citizen's to be notified when a selected parcel comes up for auction and maybe when it is close to closing? (eBay 101) Hmmm. eBay for SLavatars ®©.
Pierre owes me a favor. (Uhmm, but I am against corporate intrusion into SL, so LL and I could be at cross-purposes on this.)

Kk, here it is: "Because people default on auctions is one answer. They end up out of order. Also, we have more than one person setting up auctions, so things come up at different times. Essentially it is not intended to be an ordered system, and there are multiple reasons auctions end up in differing orders." About your suggestion Dr, please put one in the Feature Voting Tool and get support from your fellow Residents--the more the merrier!
