Supposedly a resident had his 'land' confiscated in SL after he questioned the legitimacy of a land auction..and restitution was not made for his investment in SL. Think that's the crux of a rl lawsuit against LL at the moment. The company has termed it a frivolous lawsuit. The question about ANY non-frivolous (large) money investment in SL is this: If a person were to invest in one or multiple sims...and 'for some reason' Phil et al had a bad day and pushed the eject button on the account, would this investor be entitled to restitution of the money he/she invested to date in SL? Or just the price of the confiscated land at the going rate? How is restitution done in this case, if at all? Precisely. This needs an 'SL answer'...

Our policy, when an account has been banned, is to resell the land at auction and return the proceeds to the account holder, less a fee of $100 and any money owed to Linden Lab. I can assure you we have never banned an account because someone at Linden Lab was having a bad day!
