How can I hide "land for rent" from search tab?

Ok, I am a new player and have been looking for land to buy. I am horribly disappointed at the difficulty in finding actual land for sale. ALMOST EVERYTHING listed in SEARCH in SL is not actually for sale, but it is for rent or "for sale" with a covenant.

What the hell is wrong with this picture? Now I am no Rocket-Scientist, but I think it is pretty clear all the rental properties are NOT for sale. Why would Linden Labs not differentiate between land for sale and land for rent in the Search dialogue in SL? Am I to sift through thousands of "rentals" in hopes to find land that is actually for sale? ( Let alone fine one that is of decent size and buildable)

The bigger problem is that Renters now rely on their Landlord's existence in SL to keep all their hard work from going POOF!?? Do I understand correctly that lets say if my Landlord gets (god forbid) hit by a buss or never logs back into SL...that our tenancy is cut short, our business structure and items returned to our inventory thru an involuntary eviction??

Due to this and many other issues with LandWHORES...err Landlords, you would think Linden Labs would make an effort to differtiate in SEARCH between rent and sale. There has to be a reasonable explantion for this. Please advise

I'm new to SL. I'm looking for land to buy, but when using the "search" button, then actually there are both listed "land for sale" as well as "land for rent". Isn't there an option to distuingish between these two types of land ?

Dear Gorden and Wendows — alas, currently not a way to filter better. This shared concern is related to an open issue we have to distinguish between Mainland and Estate (private islands) land sales better. I totally hear ya on this, and I'm going to include your feedback in the file.
