I have noticed, a couple of times since Recond Life has been getting over 20,000 concurrent users reguarly. That Lag seems to become a major issue over here in the UK / Europe at certian times.

I can obviously only comment accuratly for myself, but i have spoken to some other people about this and many are experiencing high lag especially in the evenings US time. i asume this is from people coming home from work etc. it can be a problem between about 11 / 2 am depending on location in Sl and the day of the week. lag doesn't seem to be a problem at any other times tho, well no more than normal.

Example, last night when i logged in at 7pm GMT there were around 20,000 users online i believe, no abnormal lag, it got worse steadly from 10pm to 11pm GMT when i consistantly got issues with textures, packet loss, rezzing objects etc right up to when i logged at 1am.

Please don't think this question is moaning about Lag etc as it's not meant like that, it's purley intended to raise this issue about connectivity outside of the US. I appreciate how hard it must be to scale up a network this large.

My question is three fold....

Are you aware of any bottleneck's that may be causing this, particuarly with connectivity outside of the US (Particuarly Europe), or within the SL Grid?

is this part of the wider problem of scaling up your operations as quickly as the system is growing?

What connectivity do you have outside of the US direct to other parts of the world if any?
