From the new TOS

Linden Lab cannot absolutely control whether minors gain access to the Service other than the Teen Area, and makes no representation that users outside the Teen Area are not minors.

How can LL label certain areas of SL "Mature", denoting adult content, and yet wash thier hands of 'control' over what a minor could possible gain access to, especially on mainland SL, where the ability to disable camera constraints now means a resident can possible sit comfortably on PG land and gawk at the mature content over in the next sim?

If you have no control over minors gaining access to your service, should you really be labeling your service as "Mature"? By labeling areas as "Mature", do you feel no responsiblity is safeguarding minors from "Mature" content?

Unfortunately, no system is foolproof. We make every effort to make sure that teens are placed in the Teen Grid and adults in the Main Grid. While we can't certify that someone hasn't sneaked past us, if we find they have, there are penalties that we enforce. These penalties include permanently banning adult accounts found on the Teen Grid, and requiring age verification for suspected teens found on the Main Grid (or then relocating them to the Teen Grid).

The assumption underlying M vs PG ratings isn't age, however, but the type of content that can be found there. There are people over the age of 18 who prefer PG areas on the Main Grid.
