IP Rights to Forum Writing?

Apologies if this is the wrong thread to post in; here is my question I was hoping LL could answer:

I know LL acknowledges our IP rights in-world, but I wanted to know about IP rights for written work posted in forums. If someone writes something and posts it in the forums, are others able to plagiarize it without using "Quote" and citing the author? If the source/author IS credited, can the writing be used to sell/advertise/endorse something or do we need specific permission from the author for such use?

And if written work is reused in the forums without permission or citation, what can be done to have it removed?

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this!

Inshort, Selaras, if you own a copyright to a work, it's your intellectual property. While we're unable to legally advise on specific cases, here are some good links to learn more about copyrights and fair use (which includes requoting of material):
If you want unauthorized usage of your copyrighted work removed, we comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. All steps are provided on that page.
