Message of the Day

It's 2 hours after the LindenX reopened and the login message still tells people not to buy L$.

Edit:

As of 1:10am EST, 3.5 hours after Lawrence announced that the LindenX was open, the login message still says that people shouldn't buy currency.

I'm especially troubled because when I contacted Live Help 20 minutes ago, I was told by a Linden that there was still a problem, but there has been no mention on the forums.

This is a big deal guys!

If there is still a problem then it is foolish to withhold confirmation of this. It will only lead to losses.

If there is not a problem then you are just plain killing commerce by continuing the login message. And it comes on the night before our weekly upgrade thing. So, we're looking at a good long time of killed commerce between the LindenX problem, the unnecessary continued login message, and the upgrade the next day!

All the good that you're doing will bring no fruit if you don't pay attention to these things!

Do not change the message of the day, unless you have a process in place to unchange it when the situation changes. And if the situation is still bad, then please don't leave a rosy message in announcements!

Sorry about this Shack! I noticed this later in the night, incidentally, and I changed it as soon as I saw it.

Very confusing and conflicty.

We have a better MOTD system in the works which is better integrated with what else is going on, so the likelyhood of "left hand doesn't know what right one is doing" is minimized.
