This is going to be brutal because I'm angry. We are paying customers and we are not happy. If LL doesn't like what I have to say, fix the problems.
I'm still here for two reasons. 1) I paid for a one year account and will be damned if I'll give LL the satisfaction of driving me out before it's up. I'll be a pain in your backside every day until that account is done. 2) My friends.
Notice that "service" or "product" was not one of those reasons. LL had continually demonstrated poor managment, inept decisions based on incomplete/misunderstood/false data, a complete lack of testing on new updates, and a total disreguard for it's paying customer base.
The Residents pay you to do a job, and quite frankly, I don't think you're doing that job. I'm tired of hearing the excuses. The biggest is "We're overworked.". If you're that overworked, presumably because buisiness is picking up, hire more employees or allot more personel to those areas needing staffing. It's called "management".
LL needs to get off thier ass and become involved in the world, not the code. Do any of these "feature creators" or "bug hunters/fixers" even go in-world? If so, tell me how that Chat Focus bug came back? It's a small thing overall, but it was a major gripe of the Residents for weeks. Finally it was fixed. Now it's back? Are the QA testers blind, inept, or just stupid?
I sent in a Bug Report on it. Know what my response was? "Known issue". [sarcasm] No Sh%$?!? I sent the report in and you know about it? Amazing!! [/sarcasm]. Sounds like they don't even want bothered with bug reports with responses being sent like that. Kind of like it seems like LL doesn't want to hear the Residents anymore when they post "See the blog".
You know what? Screw your blog! It sucks. Little information the REsidents actually want/need. Poor design-navagating the blog for posts other than "right now" is a major pain. Inadequate means to reply. NO means to start new topic. And I won't even mention LL's abyssmal moderation practices on the blog. Think I'm alone? Go look at Prop1781. Also, look at the piss-poor response by LL there. Highly unprofessional. Or look at it another way (if LL can think coherently enough to see this) and look at how many Residents, who used to help you with ideas and reports of things wrong, are no longer talking to you.
LL had better get thier act together or they are going to lose even more of thier customer base. Take a look at the forums and your income lately. Long-term Residents are leaving you! Packing it up and cashing out. What does LL need for a wake-up call?
Is LL seriously trying to destroy it's customer base? Because that's what LL is doing.
