I bought a nice piece of property in Watarrka Park that was billed as "Magnificent Waterview..." Now after a couple of weeks I see the tide going the other way: Land is now being built where water once stood. Now, I will have a 'waterview' only if I purchase a telescope...
This should serve as a warning to anyone interested in "water view" property: unless you purchase an island, you should beware that 'water,' more specifically ocean, is a temporary phenomenon.
(Full disclosure: I'm not really upset about this because in the back of my mind I kind of figured the 'area' would change according to population growth. On the other hand, I can see how people might get upset since developers continually sell 'waterview' plots when in fact there's no permanence to these claims.)
Would Linden Labs ever consider having some 'canals' where ocean once stood? So at least the gigantic waterslide I'm building, which would have ordinarily dumped right into the ocean, can at least dump into water? As it stands right now it's going to dump in the back of someone's yard. Hehe.
