Once I start flying, I just keep shooting off into that direction and won't stop until I press the esc key 10 times. Is this a known issue?

Raymond,
I suspect you were crossing from one region into another when this happened. You may also experience a "rubberband" effect where you stop flying and snap back to where you started flying. This unfortunately sometimes happens, and we're aware of the issue.
