When items were sold were their scripts made available with full permission too? If not, could people have just directly sold the scripts for full permission?
I don't want to start stripping out the source code with an external program for my customers sake, because when mono is released their items would break. But I have an update system that could be tricked should someone have access to the source. Not to mention anyone that did such a thing could easily replicate my product and give it to their friends free, or even sell it without me having knowledge. Even if I suspected another product of using my code, I'd have no way to prove they didn't write it themselves.
These problems with data being released, personal or proprietary, are getting me frustrated. The community shouldn't be worrying about developing these kinds of tools anyway, because our data should be secure. Obviously people don't have much faith there, as we have tools to strip source code and people are using it. This *can't* keep happening, SL is home to many in world businesses, and we shouldn't have to worry about our products being stolen.
Thanks for listening.
