LindenX too embedded into resident accounts
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My account was locked because of non-payment. I think; "No problem, I'll just take my Lindens out of my Apez bank account and then sell them to cover tier". BUT when the account is locked you lock the LindenX also. I called billing support and told them that I need to access the LindenX to pay my account. Absolutely not, I'm told. Once its locked he cannot do a thing. I write to support. I'm sent a response: "Greetings, Thank you for your inquiry. To sell L$ your account must be in goodstanding and any transfers to accounts must be done prior to deliquencyand suspension. Regards".
So I get a friend to open a Apez bank account and I transfer the Lindens to them - I used their paypal to make my account current. THEN a hour later my account is locked again(!). A fee of $9.95 is on the account and is considered past due (after one hour) and we are back where we started.
I call billing again. And now the "I can not turn your account back on again so you can sell your Lindens and pay your account" turns into "I turned your account back on - you have a few hours to sell those Lindens and zero the balance on your account".
You should not block LindenX from residents at any time. When someone is trying to sell Lindens to zero out their account billing - they should be allowed to do so. With this policy, a person that has a locked account because of non-payment would forfeight all of the Lindens that they have on their account. Someone could owe ten dollars but they have hundreds of dollars worth of Lindens on their account and no way to access them. And after 30 days of non-payment Linden Labs takes all of that person's money. Is this legal? Could my bank close my account and keep all of my deposits? Hopefully you can fix this.
