Q: If I transfer an island, does it keep the same monthly fee it had?
A: For transfers actioned in the next three months we will honour the original monthly fee, so that if when transferred it is being billed at USD$195 per month then it will remain at USD$195 for the new owner. This will be reviewed on February 1st, after which we may decide that subsequent transfers will move to the new pricing for the new owner.
If you transfer the region to someone else, we are likely to charge the receiver the increased monthly maintenance fee - this is to avoid someone buying lots of servers and then reselling them for a higher price after the price increases for everyone else. -Zee Linden
Does what zee wrote only apply to islands bought between today and the 15th or does the awnser that Jack wrote in the FAQ, which is posted above, no longer apply?
