I was told by a friend that Linden Labs is limiting people to five accounts in a lifetime. Is this true? I've looked in the terms of service and it does say that LL reserves the right to limit the number of accounts, but it doesn't give a number.

Hiya Jamie! The current account creation limits are 2 per credit card or PayPal account, or 5 per household. This isn't without flexibility, however. As Daniel Linden details here, if there are reasonable requests and more are needed, support can be contacted for more accounts. Hope this helps.
