The new update was touted as one that would resolve at least some of these problems. Well, guess what? It has NOT. No matter what I do (or don't do), no matter where I go, the packet loss bar is always maxed out and in the red. I keep seeing people having trouble moving around due to rezzing/lag/packet loss/whatever problems, I keep having said problems, I keep seeing tons of people with missing textures. It looks like the ONLY chance I have to NOT suffer the revenge of the son of Packet Loss is to be in a completely empty sim - one that is going on sale, perhaps? - with no other avatars around.
What's worse, and this was the final straw that made me not only bug report the issue, but resort to the Linden Answers forum, was the bizarre chat I had today. Me and some other avatars would type something, but it would appear to others much later. How much later? How about TWO MINUTES AFTER the message had been typed? Now I know how those people who were interviewing an increasingly drugged-out Syd Barrett must have felt.
