I have looked through the forums and not seen a post on this, but it has become a bit more than irritating to me. I have had items in my inventory that are no mod/no copy that I have purchased suddenly take on a texture of something in my surroundings....i.e. advertising textures appearing across the front of a new dress that I had worn previously (so I know it was not messed up when I purchased it) attaching a HUD attachment and finding it no longer has it's origional texture but instead has a building texture now (looks like a brick wall). Am I the only one that is having or has had this issue or is it something known about?

Sounds like a texture bake bug. Suggested solution is here:
Q-17 * Things were okay but my avatar is suddenly wearing yucky stripes/strange textures/clothes I don't actually have on/pictures from Second Life or another program! Other people can see it on me too! How do I fix this? Open Debug menu with Ctrl-Alt-D and it appears next to Help at the top of your screen.A-17 * The easiest way to fix this is use Debug menu > Character > Rebake Textures and wait a few seconds. A harder way of doing it: right-click yourself, select Appearance. See how it goes away temporarily? We want to make it disappear for good. Usually, clicking on Shape > Body > adjusting Height to something different, then Save All, and Close will work. If that didn't work, try selecting a more specific tab of Body Parts or Clothes and doing the same. For example, if you have lines all over your legs, try changing a Pants slider and saving. If the affected item is no-modify, unfortunately, this may not work. If you have no extra copies, contact the creator, show them what's wrong, and ask nicely if they can help you with a complimentary replacement. From: http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=078 which is useful for other tidbits of info. ![]() Note this may not work if something is seriously wrong with your graphics card, in which you'll need to fix/replace it. But let's try this and hope it isn't that bad. Have a wonderful day! _____________________
