I am trying hard to find information about the much talked about inventory issue (having been affected by this myself with a HUD filled with animations, twice!), but cannot find anything concerning this coming from Linden Labs (as has been indicated in previous posts).
Is it possible to acknowledge this issue ASAP and the nature of the issue. Having bought something on SLExchange recently which was not delivered (although SLExchange reported it had been) I went to the SLExchange forums to see if that might be related also the inventory issue being described here.
It was more than a bit disturbing to see the many complaints about inventory being bought and then disappearing or not being delivered (and apparently money also?) when purchasing from SLExchange. Is this is same issue? It sounds like it to me, but really, I don't know.
On the front page of the Second Life site can be the amount of USD passed in the past 24 hours. Its a pretty large number IMO and while TOS may state that LL isn't responsible for loses, I cannot help but ask if the responsible thing is to address this pretty much immediately so individual users can decide whether or not they wish to continue making purchases until the issue is fixed.
Additionally, if Linden Labs does address this issue, could it be addressed in-world through a dialog directing people to the blog or forums? While I read the forums, possibly not everyone does (there are a lot of users) and if this issue does exist surely those who don't pursue the forums or even the blog, should have the right to know.
Thanks
